New Jordan Made famous by the infamous All-Star weekend Nike Air Foamposite One back from 2012, the intergalactic aesthetic has graced countless silhouettes over the past eight years without ever managing to lose its cachet. This year alone we’ve seen the theme hit a Nike React Presto and a trio of upcoming Nike Hoops releases, and now it graces the revered Air Max 90, the Air Max 270 React and Foot Locker’s favorite Air Max Plus. Each pair features a uniform theme, although each pair arrives with its own unique color palette. Consistent it the pair’s galaxy print uppers, color pops, and chrome, black, and white accents — but the differences end there. The Air Max 90 arrives popped with vibrant purple and infrared, while the Air Max 270 React sports a fiery red and orange mix. In a rare twist of fate, the Air Max Plus is the tamest of the pack, featuring a mostly monochrome make, save the few pops of Habanero Red throughout.
Nike Air Max 97 GS Sky Nike is arguably the headline of the kids-exclusive pack, featuring a top half popped in vibrant Orange, with sweeping scratched silver mudguards and tongues. Black medial overlays, outsoles, liners, and laces provide both perfect balance and color break-up, and the pair is completed with flashes of bright blue at the toggle lacing system and Air supports within the midsole. The Air Force 1 Low arrives mostly in silver, with the same metallic silver finish gracing the toe, quarter, and eyelet overlays. Midpanels are presented in a heavy-duty silver mesh, with color pops only reserved for the liners, tongues, tags and lace locks. Strong contrasting black accents appear on the outsole, Swoosh and laces, the latter two capped off with 3M reflective finishes.
New Nike Air Max 270 continues to evolve its longstanding initiatives. And even in the face of a global pandemic, the brand continues to celebrate Pride Month with both a large cast of footwear options, as well as plenty of donations to more than 20 LGBTQIA+ community organizations. On the footwear side of things, this year’s three-piece pack is headlined by the time-tested Air Force 1 Low.Specific to this special BeTrue release is a pebbled finish on a triple white leather upper with tailored perforation details and gimping, and an iridescent Swoosh underlay with pink finishing. To celebrate the traditional flag symbol and make room for every expression of pride, the AF1 carries a ten-color heel mark inclusive of a spectrum of voices. Finished by bright all-over print insoles, the pair is set to release here on and at retailers come June 19th.
